Email Marketing Campaigns

What are Email Marketing Campaigns?

Email marketing campaigns are a great way to communicate with your existing customers. With email marketing, you can reach out to targeted segments, increase your engagement rates, and flourish your overall business through communication.

Please note that email marketing campaigns are only available in the Advanced Business plan. Furthermore, you have to fill out a webform in order to get access to send emails through SAAS First.

How to Create an Email Marketing Campaign?

To create a chat marketing campaign, select the Marketing Module on the left menu and choose the Email message option on the left.

Audience

First, you must select the audience to whom you want to send the message.

All your customers and subscribers are listed here, and you can add specific filter(s) to the list in order to target a narrower audience for your messages.

If you wish to add more filters to target a larger audience, you can do that by clicking on “AND" or "OR” for relevant connections.

You can also use specific Saved filters that you have already set up to reach out to predetermined groups of people.

Next to the Filter type, you can select the Send type:

  • One time: The message will be sent to your customers once, when you schedule it, and never again.
  • Dynamic: The message will be sent to your customers whenever they fulfill the requirements you set up in the filters for the message.

At the top right corner of the page, you can see the number of customers you are targeting based on the filters you have added.

Triggering

At the Triggering menu point, you can select the type of trigger that will make your message appear to the customers.

The trigger can be:

  1. A specific URL: This means that if the audience visits the website you added to the trigger, the message will be sent to them.
  2. Cookie: Here, you have to enter your cookie name and the cookie value.
  3. Geolocation: Here, you have to enter the country in which you want your message to appear.
  4. Action: Here, you have to enter the action element sector and the type of action that will trigger the message (click, mouseover, mouseout, scroll)
  5. API call: Here, you have to enter the API endpoint to trigger the message.

Content

At the Content menu point, you have to create the actual content of what you would like to send to your audience.

Add a title to the message. This will only be visible for you, in order to be able to find the message easily later in the list.

Next, select the category of the message you want to send. These categories can be defined by you in the Marketing Setup.

Select the team member you want to be sending the message. The audience will see that the message was sent from that person.

You can also set up the trigger delay, if you have any, in seconds. This indicates the number of seconds you want to send the message after a specific trigger happened.

Finally, you can set up a preview time limit in days. In SAAS First, you have the option to display email marketing messages in the chat as well if the recipient doesn't open the email message. This can significantly improve your open- and engagement rates. To take advantage if this feature, the live chat must be installed in your website. Here, you can find the installation guide for that.

Once you are ready with the content settings, you can start writing the email. Make sure you enter the subject and content of your email. You can use rich formatting to customize your email message.

Scheduling

The scheduling of your message can be:

  • Immediately sent
  • Or you can enter a specific date when you want your message to be sent

You can choose to

  • never end the campaign (in the case of dynamic campaigns)
  • or you can enter a specific date when you want your message-sending to end
