How to find the Chat Language Settings option
If you would like to customize your chat language, go to your Inbox, find the Settings button on the left menu, and then choose the Chat localization option.
Here you can find your Chat Language Settings, where you can configure the text and their language for your Chat.
Chat Open
To choose the type of chat preview you would like to configure, go to the Select Chat View option. Here, you can select which preview you want to modify. Click on “Chat Open” to begin customizing this section.
Then, you have the option to customize your chat's Header. Set up:
The Visitor greeting text will appear at the top of the chat when you don't know any information about who is trying to contact you via the chat.
The Contact greeting text will be displayed at the top of the chat when an already-known customer is trying to contact you via the chat. With this option you can choose an Opening, Personalization (whether it’s the customer’s first name or left empty), and lastly a Closing text.
The Welcome Message: Under the greeting text, you can add an additional introductory message.
Right under the Chat header customization option, there is a section where the displayed texts and labels of the Previous Conversation field can be modified:
The Title: You can set the title of this field, where the previous conversations are gathered together.
Unread Label: You can choose what the Unread label in your chat should say.
Load More Button: You also have the option to name the Load more button to match the style of your chat.
You can also add a title for the Recommended Articles section in your Chat.
There is an option to enter a chosen text for the name of the Placeholder for the Search Field in your Chat.
Right after that, you have the option to decide the names of the text fields of the Important Information section:
Important Information Header
Important Information Text
Important Information Button Text
And the last option is to name the field of the chat’s main action button — the Start Chat button.
