Mastering the Knowledge Base Module

Welcome to Mastering the Knowledge Base

This guide will help you master the advanced features of the Knowledge Base Module, including setting up a custom domain, customizing the appearance to match your brand, and integrating Google Analytics to monitor visitor activity. Follow these steps to make your Knowledge Base more professional and effective.



Setting Up a Custom Domain

To make your Knowledge Base more recognizable for visitors, set up a custom domain:

  1. Configure CNAME in DNS Provider:

    • In your domain's DNS provider, set up a CNAME directing visitors to SAAS First using this target: helppages.saasfirst.com.
  2. Visit the Setup Guide:

  3. Access Knowledge Base Settings:

    • Once the CNAME is set up, go to your Knowledge Base settings.
  4. Provide Knowledge Base URL:

    • Enter your Knowledge Base URL in the settings.
  5. Save Changes:

    • Click on Save changes to finalize the setup.

Your Knowledge Base will now be accessible via your custom domain.


Customizing the Style of Your Knowledge Base

Ensure your Knowledge Base matches your brand’s appearance:

  1. Access Style Settings:

    • Go to the "Style" section in your Knowledge Base menu.
  2. Customize Appearance:

    • Primary Color: Choose a color from the palette or enter a specific color code.
    • Logo: Upload your brand’s logo.
    • Favicon: Upload a favicon for your Knowledge Base.
    • Header Background: Set the header background color or image.
    • Main Title: Enter the main title of your Knowledge Base.
    • Description: Provide a brief description of your Knowledge Base.
    • Homepage Link: Insert a link to your homepage.
    • Footer Text: Add any footer text you want to display.
  3. Save Changes:

    • Click on Save changes to apply your customizations.

Integrating Google Analytics

Monitor and analyze the activity on your Knowledge Base by integrating Google Analytics:

  1. Access Settings:

    • Go to your Knowledge Base settings.
  2. Add Google Analytics Tracking ID:

    • Enter your Google Analytics tracking ID into your account settings.
  3. Monitor Visitors:

    • Start monitoring the activity of visitors on your Knowledge Base.
