Getting Started with Tracking and Analysis

Getting Started Guide for Tracking and Analysis

You'll need to complete the following five simple steps:

  1. Hide your Live Chat

  2. Enable data tracking

  3. Install the Live Chat for visitors

  4. Check out your events

  5. Create your first query

  6. Start your subscription

Step 1: Hide your live chat

In your Inbox Settings, go to the Chat Style and find the option for the Launcher visibility. Turn it off with the toggle for both mobile/tablet and desktop. This makes the widget of the Live Chat hidden on your website, but the scrip will still enable you to track data.

Step 2: Enable Data Tracking

Now, all you have to do is enable data tracking. Go to your Workspace settings, select the Events Tracking option, and activate the tracking options and event contents. And that's it. Now you're collecting data on your customers which you can later turn into valuable reports and analytics.

Step 3: Install the live chat for visitors

The next step is to install the live chat for visitors.

In your SAAS First Inbox, go to your Settings, and you’ll find the Installation Guide. Install the live chat by copying this simple script and pasting it at the end of your website script after the body closing. Once ready, you’ll be able to collect and track visitor data from your website.

Step 4: Check out your events

Go to your Customers module, and select the Events section. Here, check out the contact visits you’ve  already collected by clicking on one of them.

Here, you’ll see every available information about each contact visit, such and the system and device your visitor is using, where they came from, and some locational data on them.

Step 5: Create your first query

Go to your Analytics module and select the Queries option. Here, Ask a simple question in your query on the left, something that is related to contact visits.

For example: Which pages did people visit last time on my website? Watch how the report is generated for you in seconds

Step 6: Start your subscription

In your Admin menu point, choose the Subscription option, and find the My Plan section. Click on Upgrade, and once you fill out the billing details, you’ll be ready to start your subscription!
