How You Can Filter To Dos Within Your Board
Filter by Any Parameter
At the top right corner of your Board, you can see a Filter button.
Here, you can filter your To Dos according to any given variable you have given to them while editing.
You can filter by:
Title
Description
Story Points
Deadline
Created at
Updated at
Owner name
Owner email
Contributor name
Contributor email
Tester name
Tester email
Conversation ID
Text field content
Checklist content
Comment
For filters with a text, you can select:
Exact match: You'll find exactly the text you want to search for.
Doesn't match: You'll find everything else except the text you entered.
Contains: You'll find everything that contains the text you entered.
Not contains: You'll find everything except the text you entered.
Has value: You'll find everything that has the variable you've chosen.
Doesn't have value: You'll find everything that doesn't have the variable you've chosen.
For filters with a number, you can select:
Equal: You'll find exactly the number you want to search for within To Dos.
Not equal: You'll find everything else except the number you search for.
Greater than: You'll find everything that has a greater number than the one you entered.
Less than: You'll find everything that has a smaller number than the one you entered.
Has value: You'll find everything with the chosen variable.
Doesn't have value: You'll find everything that doesn't have the value you've chosen.
For filters with a date. you can select:
This week: You'll find everything that is true for the variable within the given week.
This month: You'll find everything that is true for the variable within the given month.
This year: You'll find everything that is true for the variable within the given year.
Time range: You'll find everything that is true for the variable within the given time range. You have to enter a From and a To date here for the beginning and ending.
Days ago: You'll find everything that is true for the variable exactly before the number of days you've set up.
Has value: You'll find everything with the chosen variable.
Doesn't have value: You'll find everything that doesn't have the chosen variable.
You can also add multiple filters to your search by clicking on the +AND or +OR buttons.
AND connection: Your search will be further refined and added to the previously set up filters as a connection.
OR connection: The previously set up filters will remain in your search, and you can further refine your search by creating a new connection separate from the previous one.
Deleting Filters
You can easily delete a filter by clicking on the X at its top right corner.
If you want to delete all the filters you've set up, you ca do that by clicking on the Clear all filters button on the right.
Filter by labels
You can also easily access the filtering by labels. You have to click on the label pictogram in the top right corner of your Boards. Here, select the label by which you want to filter your To Dos.
Once ready, you'll only see the To Dos in your Board that have the labels you've chosen in the search.
If you want to remove the bale filtering. Click on the label pictogram again, and deselect the ones you've previously chosen.
Filter by members
If you want to see the To Dos assigned to a specific person or people exactly, you can filter them by members on the right side of your Board.
Just click on the people's icons in the upper right corner of your Boards, and select the person or people related to the To Do you want to filter.
Once ready, you'll only see the To Dos related to the person or people you have chosen in the filtering.
If you want to remove the member filters, click on the member icons once again, and deselect the people you previously chose.
Easy Search with the Search Bar
You can also just enter exactly what you are looking for in the search bar at the top right.
This search will work not only with titles but also with any text field within the To Do.
Enter what you're searching for and hit Enter. The Board will display only the relevant To Dos for you according to your search.
