How to Create a Query

Creating Queries in a Couple of Simple Steps

To create a query, go to your Analytics module and select the Queries option. Here, Ask a simple question in your query on the left, where you have the option to enter the text in the box. The question can be in simple language, however, make sure it is clear and understandable. When ready, click on Generate report.

The most important part to remember is that in order to get the best out of the query, you must ask something that is related to the data you already collect in SAAS First. Under Your available data, you'll see the data types which are being collected from your users. Create queries based on this data. You can check:

  • Your Event types (actions you track carried out by the users)

  • Data table (all the information collected on your customers.

Once the report is generated, you'll see

  • Some Clarification questions on the left. The purpose of these questions is to make sure the AI understood your query correctly and selected the best type of data to create the report for you. Here, you can make any changes you might need to ensure that the report contains the correct data you were referring to in your question. If you've made any changes in the answers of the clarification questions, click on Update, and the report will be generated for you again with the right information in mind.

  • The Report explanation with a detailed description of the chart or table that has been created for you, explaining everything that you can see on there.

  • And you'll see the chart and/or table that has been created from your question.

At the bottom of the Query, you can:

  • Edit this particular query, and you'll be directed to the chart page, where you can modify information about the chart/table.

  • Save the chart with the Save chart button. You'll find the Query in the Charts section of your Analytics.

  • Save and Add to Dashboard. Here, you need to select the dashboard(s) you want to add your chart/table to.
