How to set Two Factor Authentication in your account
To set up Two-Factor Authentication for an extra layer of protection for your account, all you have to do is click on your current picture in the bottom left corner, then click on the gear icon in the popup that appears. This will take you to your Account Settings.
Here you can set up Two-Factor Authentication. To do that, click on the “Set this up” button right below this feature and follow these steps:
Step 1
Download the Google Authenticator app to your mobile phone.
Step 2
Scan the QR code below using the app, or enter the setup key manually if scanning is not possible.
Step 3
Enter the 6-digit code you see in your authenticator app.
After you successfully complete this step, click on Save. You will get a popup with your recovery key. Please save this recovery key in a secure place. If you lose access to your authentication app, this key allows you to log in. Please note that the system won’t show it again.
After you have saved your recovery key, click on the “I have saved my recovery key” button. After these steps your Two-Factor Authentication setup is now complete.
How to remove Two-Factor Authentication
If you wish to disable Two-Factor Authentication, click on the Disable button and confirm your choice by selecting the “Yes, remove 2FA” option in the popup. After this step is completed, you will have the option to re-enable it anytime from your Account Settings.
